About This Virtual Support Group

Our Veterans Recovery Support Group provides a welcoming, judgment-free space for veterans to share openly and find recovery support among others who share and understand the veteran experience. The group is led by a veteran clinician and a veteran recovery coach, combining professional expertise with lived military and recovery experience.

Each week, we’ll explore topics such as:

  • PTSD, moral injury, and addiction recovery
  • Rebuilding identity after service
  • Coping with triggers, cravings, and trauma
  • Managing anger and risky behaviors
  • Navigating veteran resources and recovery pathways

Whether you are seeking community, understanding, or tools for recovery, this group offers a supportive environment to learn, heal, and connect.

**To maintain the privacy and safety of our community, attending this support group for educational or research purposes is not permitted. However, you may find helpful information through our drug glossary and blog.**

Support Groups

It is often said that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but connection. Having a strong support system is paramount to your sobriety and recovery journey. At Mountainside, we offer a wide range of in-person and virtual support groups for individuals in recovery and friends and families with loved ones in recovery. These groups are designed to help you stay connected to like-minded individuals regardless of where you are.
