Volunteer and Make a Difference

Be an Alumni Share Night Speaker
Alumni with at least six months of sobriety can share personal stories of recovery with individuals currently in treatment at Mountainside. You can help others to see that recovery is a real possibility and help them to visualize a healthy, sober future. Want to sign up?

Become an Alumni Ambassador
Alumni with at least a year of sobriety can help alumni transition to life after treatment. In order to become an Ambassador you have to fill out our application and sign up for our next Ambassador Training course.

Ask it Basket Monthly Alumni Event
Join Mountainside’s Ask It Basket style event at Canaan on the last Tuesday of every month. Share your story and answer questions from current clients to aid in their recovery journeys. Optionally, you can arrive by 5 PM to reconnect with others at Mountainside and have dinner in the dining hall with staff. Please note this is not a 12-step specific group.

Mountainside Recovery Resources
Peer support group meetings provide you a safe space to share your feelings, emotions, setbacks, and successes. Attending meetings can also help you gain additional perspectives on challenges you may face and advice on how to overcome them. Most of all, peer support groups remind you that in recovery, you are never alone.

Where can I get support if I am struggling?

How do I sign onto virtual meetings?
We conduct all of our virtual groups and meetings through Microsoft Teams. Each virtual event comes with its own link you can find on the eventbrite page. You can download the Teams app here: Microsoft Teams on the App Store (apple.com)
