Dr. Karen O’Flynn

Dr. Karen O’Flynn serves as Medical Director at Mountainside, where she leads the delivery of best in class psychiatric care and works closely with the clinical team to ensure clients receive compassionate, evidence based treatment as part of a comprehensive, whole person approach to recovery. A board certified psychiatrist and Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Dr. O’Flynn trained in psychiatry through Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and brings more than 30 years of clinical and leadership experience to her role. She has held senior positions across leading healthcare institutions, including serving as Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry at Griffin Hospital and Medical Director of Inpatient and Emergency Psychiatry at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Deeply committed to the addiction recovery field, Dr. O’Flynn is passionate about helping individuals address both substance use and the underlying mental health challenges that often drive it, supporting lasting healing and recovery.
