Alex has an MHC-LP and holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling. Throughout his career, Alex has worked in a range of clinical roles, primarily focused on substance use and co-occurring disorders, in underserved communities throughout New York City. At Mountainside, Alex uses a combination of cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and logotherapy to facilitate change and growth in clients with substance use disorders. Alex prides himself on using a humanistic approach with his clients and helping them find meaning in everyday life. In his spare time, Alex can be found travelling, volunteering overseas, running marathons, attending his film club, and spending (most of) his time with his dog.
