Program Manager, Outpatient Services

Daniel Sexton is a Master Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and EMDR-trained clinician. As Program Manager of Outpatient Services at Mountainside, he brings deep expertise in treating co-occurring disorders and guiding clients through the complexities of early recovery with empathy, insight, and practical support.

Daniel holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and has worked with individuals from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and clinical backgrounds. He is trained in several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. He has extensive experience developing individualized treatment plans that meet clients where they are in recovery. Through a person-centered approach, Daniel builds strong therapeutic relationships that help clients identify challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve lasting change.

At Mountainside, Daniel is committed to delivering compassionate, individualized care that supports each client’s long-term healing and growth. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
