Canaan, CT–On November 12, 2013, Mountainside Treatment Center is launching its new multi-platform website initiative that will help the rehab expand its scope of access so the people who need addiction treatment can find it quicker and easier than ever before.
Mountainside’s mobile-friendly initiative couldn’t come at a better time. According to a study conducted by the research firm, eMarketer, more than 56% of Americans are smartphone users. By the year 2017, that number is estimated to reach more than 78%. In addition, with tablet sales growing by 53.4% this year, and with PC sales dropping by 11.2%, this is a clear indication that American consumers are becoming increasingly more mobile as technology continues to produce lighter and more portable devices.
“Mountainside’s new mobile-friendly website has a single purpose – to ensure that those suffering from addiction can find the help they desperately need quickly regardless of the device they are using. It was of extreme importance that we design a website that could be automatically optimized for any device or screen, be it a smartphone, a tablet, a PC, or a laptop, so that those suffering from addiction, or their family members, could find and learn about the benefits of Mountainside’s evidence-based treatment options.” said Matthew Eakin, Executive Vice President.
Just as it was one of the country’s first addiction treatment centers to organize and implement an integrated, multi-disciplinary treatment approach to drug and alcohol addiction recovery, Mountainside once again breaks new ground by being one of the first rehabs in the country to activate a multi-platform mobile initiative that will allow it to reach more people through the devices they use most.
Mountainside is dedicated to providing its clients with the quality care, services, and resources they need to recover from their addictions. Along with the new mobile-friendly website launch, Mountainside is also currently in the process of expanding its continuum of care to include a 46,000 square-feet, state-of-the-art detox center, an outpatient treatment unit, and a family wellness center to be completed by early 2014.
Eakin added, “Our new mobile-friendly website harnesses the power of tomorrow’s technology so we can reach more people than ever before. Along with our cutting-edge treatment programs and our expanding list of services, our new mobile initiative positions Mountainside to help more people recover from addiction, help more families repair their relationships, and most importantly, help save more lives.”
