Interventions & Treatment Access
Rachel Marshall, RCP, is a Recovery Engagement Specialist in Interventions and Treatment Access at Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan. She brings a unique blend of professional training and lived experience as a Mountainside alumna in long-term recovery, allowing her to connect with clients and families in an authentic, compassionate, and effective way.
In her role, Rachel supports individuals, families, and loved ones navigating substance use, mental health challenges, and acute moments of crisis. She specializes in early engagement, motivational interviewing, relationship dynamics, and loss support, meeting clients where they are—especially during times of transition and uncertainty. Known for her strong communication, empathy, and ability to build trust quickly, Rachel helps guide clients toward appropriate levels of care while upholding Mountainside’s standard of care.
Rachel believes that connection is the foundation of healing and that recovery is always possible. “We are not responsible for our thoughts, we are responsible for our actions.” Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, spending time at the catio with her husband and their cats, and cycling in the Pan-Mass Challenge in honor of her father, who was a passionate supporter of her recovery journey.
