Licensed Addictions Counselor
Mountainside Treatment center is an innovative and comprehensive inpatient treatment center located in Connecticut. With a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment, the clinical treatment team is composed of individuals who specialize in co-morbid substance abusive disorders, motivational interviewing, experiential modalities of treatment, individual and group therapies, Mind-Body-Spirit and Adventure Based programming.
We are currently seeking a licensed or certified addictions counselor for our residential program with experience in co-morbid substance abusive disorders and other behavioral health issues. An understanding of the 12 step process and self-help organizations is required as is experience in client case management.
Job Duties:
- Performing diagnostic evaluations, individual counseling, group counseling, biopsych – social interviews, and providing support to clients during early stages of recovery.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate clinical documentation and compliance with record keeping standards. Provide direct clinical service to caseload of clients at different levels of care as indicated by treatment plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that current treatment plans exist for each client on caseload as well as all pertinent clinical record keeping data.
- Maintains productivity and clinical standards as required by treatment plans.
- Ensures that all certification and licensing requirements are kept active and up to date.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Masters level is preferred - BA/BS is required
- LCSW, LCADC, CAC preferred
- At least three years of direct client services in a substance abuse treatment setting.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal skills and communication required.
- If applicable a minimum of three years in recovery.
