Mountainside Treatment Center is a comprehensive inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility located in Northwestern Connecticut. We are currently seeking a full-time Admissions Associate. The ideal candidate will have experience working with insurance companies, an understanding of pre-certification processes, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of substance abusive disorders and treatment is a plus.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing information to prospective clients about our treatment services
- Facilitating all aspects of communication related to client calls admissions
- Thoroughly document all prospective client information and related information from other healthcare professions within the continuum of care
- Conduct tours to prospective residents and their families
- Document and track client discharges and admissions
- Must have an understanding of insurance billing processes
- To assist prospective residents with any pre-certification needs
- Conduct client orientations • Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors (BA/BS) degree preferred
- Must have 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Experience working with insurance companies a plus
- Prior experience in sales / marketing / customer service
- Excellent written, verbal skills and communication is required
- Ability to work in a fast paced multi-task environment
- Background in MS Office with proficiency in Excel and Word
