Family Wellness Program

The Family Wellness Program at Mountainside was designed to work concurrently with the client’s addiction treatment. Having a family member in treatment can be difficult for all who are involved and can often cloud  the ability to make the right decision when it comes to helping that family member while they are in treatment or after they leave.

The Mountainside Family Wellness Program focuses on understanding the disease of drug addiction and alcohol abuse and how it impacts everyone in a family, constructive problem resolution and continuing care for the whole family.

Participants in the Family Wellness Program at Mountainside will learn about various family dynamics and tools that they can use to build healthy family systems with someone in recovery from drug addiction and or alcoholism. In addition, specific information regarding the family member in rehabiliation is incorporated to ensure a lasting recovery for the client and healthy family dynamic.

One important Family Wellness Program component is the offsite Family Healing Strategies, where family members meet offsite and go through an intensive program designed to educate and give participants specific therapeutic  tools to ensure the best outcomes.
