For individuals who seek the benefits of a longer period of treatment and greater support reintegrating back into real world settings, we offer a unique Extended Care drug and alcohol treatment program. This program focuses more deeply on fundamental constructive behaviors and healthy choices to ensure long-term sobriety and smooth functioning in social, family and vocational or educational contexts.
Our Extended Care clients live together in a supervised sober house within walking distance of Mountainside’s 24/7 recovery care and support. During the day, they work part-time in various capacities at Mountainside affiliated facilities. They are exposed to and interact with people in a real world setting, while still remaining in a safe and structured sober environment. In the evenings, clients receive outpatient addiction treatment from Mountainside’s professional team of drug abuse and alcoholism rehabilitation specialists. Through Mountainside’s Extended Care program, clients learn a myriad of skills including: time and money management, teamwork, communication, accountability, life and marketable work skills.
The length of our Extended Care addiction treatment program starts from 90 days and can continue further based on the needs of each individual. A flexible treatment plan is developed for each client and adjusts to meet changing needs and goals as the client progresses in recovery. As true of all Mountainside clients, Extended Care program clients also receive Family Wellness and Continuing Care counseling.
