One component of the Family Wellness Program is focused on helping families recover and become part of the solution. Through the services of noted Family Addictions Consultant, Diana Clark, JD, MACP, Mountainside offers families a unique program to educate and provide family members with the tools needed to become, or remain, healthy when a family member is ill. The workshops will be for families and will be offsite at a private nearby location in close proximity to the Mountainside site.
Workshop curriculum includes but is not limited to:
“Families are the hidden victims of addiction, enduring enormous levels of stress and pain. They suffer sleepless nights, deep anxiety and physical exhaustion brought on by worry and desperation. They live each day with a weight inside that drags them down”
The purpose of this workshop is to provide families with the tools they need to become or remain healthy when a member of their family is ill; and to understand what behavior is helpful and what behavior is harmful to a substance abuser.
