Mountainside is located on 39 secluded acres in the foothills of the Berkshires in Canaan, which is in northwest Connecticut about 85 miles north of New York City and 100 miles south of Boston.

At the base of a private mountain surrounded by panoramic landscapes of Litchfield County, you'll feel thousands of miles away from everything. Our serene environment offers an ideal location for individuals to heal in Mind Body and Spirit and to become empowered.

The modern treatment facility at Mountainside is complemented by acres of trails, gardens, waterfalls and peaceful places to be alone with one's thoughts after a day of treatment.

Pictured here is one of the many waterfalls that adorn our mountain and flows out alongside our Labyrinth. Natural backdrops such as these create idyllic settings that provide individuals the opportunity to make the most of their treatment experience. After a full day of treatment program offerings, clients find the needed serenity and focus by taking the time to enjoy some of the beautiful settings.

    
Clients are provided a full range of recreational and leisure activities. The beautiful setting and wide open spaces allow for many activities including softball, volleyball, football, and others.

The living environment and bedrooms at Mountainside provide clients with a comfortable and serene environment.
